Abhay Deol to host TV show 'Gumrah'

Actor-producer Abhay Deol will again be seen on the small screen as the host of "Gumrah - End of Innocence" season 4. He hopes the stories will educate parents, families and also the youth.

Actor-producer Abhay Deol will again be seen on the small screen as the host of "Gumrah - End of Innocence" season 4. He hopes the stories will educate parents, families and also the youth.

Channel V's one-hour teen crime show will showcase 13 episodes starting from Aug 31.

Earlier it was hosted by Karan Kundra.

"I've been a huge fan of the show and am excited to be a part of the greater message. 'Gumrah' focuses on the thought that nobody is born a criminal but instead circumstances and certain unforeseen incidents take you down a bad path.

"The idea is to not only educate parents, families but also the youth," the actor, who had earlier presented "Connected Hum Tum", said in a statement.

The "Socha Na Tha" star will be seen with a celebrity in each episode.

"The show is about the youth, their tryst with crime and the circumstances which led to the incident, rather than sensationalizing the crime or the criminal himself," said Ajit Thakur - EVP and business head for Channel V.

I love Abhay Deol as an actor but as a Host Karan Kundra is the FACE of Gumrah.Without him the show just looks empty,Have seen 1 episode with Chitrangdha and that was just Tasteless,i just didn't had any effect of her hosting,For Gumrah..Karan brings in that desired intensity naturally and makes you connect to the stories on an inter-personal level,learn some lessons and keep them in mind forever,And I'm not saying this just bcoz I'm his fan,I can Say He is the Best Host I have ever heard,know,seen in a crime show due to a reason,Bcoz his hosting had such an impact that it helped me when I was low myself and It only made me a more Proud Fan.!!...Well It Speaks alot..He is the best Gumrah Host EVER and FOREVER will be for me.!!
P.S.:- "Can someone tell Why He left Gumrah or was replaced,I hope not for Fanaah coz If so then I had to say this Karan did a mistake.!! And A BIG one indeed seeing how not so good Fanaah is.!!
