"Bappa fulfilled my wish of doing a negative role" - Ankita Sharma

Ganpati Bappa Moraya ! Its been five days that we have been enjoying this festival, even the actors of the telly town have been cherishing and rejoicing each moment with Bappa. One such actor who is celebrating the festival is Ankita Sharma who is doing Bappa's Visarjan today.

Here is Ankita talking about Ganpati Utsav and more with us...

It gives a reason to be devotional: There are many reasons behind bringing Lord Ganesha every year but I can't disclose everything. Well the main motto is I love Bappa. We have a busy schedule and are engaged in some or the other thing all the time, it feels great to preach him and dedicate 5 days to him. I want Bappa to come for more days, I hope the count increases from 5 to 10 but the no of days should not go down.

Bappa fulfills all my wishes: Many of my wishes have been fulfilled by Bappa but when I see him going after 5 days I am not in a state to ask or wish for anything. I had this wish of doing a negative character and yeah it was fulfilled as I did a negative character in Rangrasiya.

I cannot forget the day I prepared Modak: Yeah I remember 2 years back I made Modak till 4.30 AM and later pundit arrived for puja by 6 AM so that was the unforgettable moment for me.

I cook a traditional dish called 'Chakke': Apart from Modak, I know to cook a dish which I have learned from Nani that is traditional Chakke, I make this sweet dish on all the festivals it is mainly prepared during Janmashtami so I don't make it during Ganesh Utsav.

Will be waiting for Bappa to come for next year: I get emotional whenever he leaves but yes I look forward for him to come back again in the upcoming year. Each year I learn new things about Bappa and this year also have learnt new things which will be implicated in the next year for his welcome.

My fans have accepted me in all kind of roles: Audience has always supported me and loved me whether I have done a positive or negative role. I hope they keep showering the same love on me and support me in future endeavors.
