"I would like to judge Jhalak one day!" - Lauren Gottliet

Lauren Gottlieb who rose to fame by her exceptionally outstanding stint in Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa Season 6 is also been in Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa Season 7 as challengers to the contestants with Salman Yusuf Khan. She has also been featured in the movie ABCD directed by Remo Dsouza.

We got in touch with Lauren to know more about her experience of being on Jhalak 6, her upcoming movies and her desires related to the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa and more...

After being a contestant on Jhalak you are back with a new concept of challengers. How did this happen?

Actually, the makers of the show and also the channel wanted me to be a part of the show as a choreographer. But that did not really fascinate me so I denied the offer. Later, I came to know that the channel really wanted me so they came up with a new concept of challengers where Salman and I will have to set the bar for the contestants and they will have to do better. This entire new concept really attracted me so I took up the show (chuckles).

If not choreographing, then what next?

Umm... yes I couldn't be a choreographer on the show but yes I have this strong desire to once judge this grand show. I am sure it would be an amazing experience for me as a judge.

What are your future plans?

Besides Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa Season 7 on television, I am working on movies. I have two movies in pipeline one of which is ABCD 2 which I have just started shooting in Las Vegas and the other movie too will begin soon.

Is being a part of YRF and Dharma Productions on your wish list?

I would love to be a part of Dharma Productions and YRF but for this I need to work hard on my Hindi (laughs). I also wish to be a part of a movie where I can have some actions and stunts along with my dance.

There is a similar show on a leading channel coming up. Why didn’t you take up?

I had given my commitments to Jhalak and Colors so did not take up the show.
