Barangeli is an idyllic city in Goa. Its beautiful silver sands and sun kissed palm trees, however are a mere façade for something darker.
Parshuram Bardez, the underworld kingpin, operates his vast empire from here. An empire on the front is a chain of hotels, pharmaceuticals, casinos and other such seemingly legal establishments. These are a mere cover for something far more sinister. Behind each legal activity, Bardez successfully runs an illegal one...
When Divya, our protagonist, sets foot on these very silver sands, she could pass off for yet another tourist who is visiting Goa; except that Divya is armed with a gun and an intention to avenge the brutal murder of her husband Kunal. Her search is for Parshuram Bardez, who she knows is responsible for her life being ripped apart.
What Divya does not account for is the sheer magnitude of Bardez^/s reach… nor does she find out until she reaches Barangeli that Bardez, however omnipresent, is elusive. Nobody knows him, how he looks or where he lives… nothing. Legends surround the mystery of Bardez but that^/s about all Divya has to go by. Initially, at least.
Divya meets Angie, a woman with a lot of conviction in her beliefs, who runs a derelict pub in Barangeli. Angie soon becomes Divya^/s confidante and helps her achieve her goal in whatever ways she can.
Divya also meets Rohan… Rohan. Who brings a smile onto people^/s lips. Who always has a song ready for everyone. Who does not have a care in the world. Who wipes Divya^/s tears and puts a smile on her face. Who teaches her how to stop hating and start loving.
And Divya learns. She is even ready to forget about her mission… even if only for that brief moment.
Divya is a simple and innocent woman, who despite her morbid mission, is uncomfortable about deaths, bullets, deceit etc. When deceit itself envelops Divya^/s life, however, we realize that sometimes, love may not conquer all.
Guns & Roses is the story of Divya, her quest to avenge her first love^/s untimely and brutal death and her journey to salvage her second love^/s life.
