Dabboo is a rich orphan kid living under the care of his uncle Vichitra Singh and his family. Vichittar Singh^/s family consists of his overbearing wife Tejo ji, and his two nasty children Cheeku and Chunni.
The Will
According to the will of Dabboo^/s father, Vichittar Singh was to be the caretaker of Dabboo and all of his property and business till Dabboo turns 18. And then all the money would go to Dabboo but in the eventuality that Dabboo died before he turned 18, half the money would go to Vichittar Singh and half would go to a trust.
Vichittar Singh^/s plan is that the day Dabboo turns 18; he will force him to sign the property papers and take over all his fathers^/ money. Vichittar, Tejo ji, Chunni and Cheeku are extra mean to Dabboo and treat him very badly. Dabboo dreads facing Vichittar Singh & starts stammering when he comes face to face with him. He is completely under confident and perpetually nervous.
He is happy only when he is by himself. He is scared of everyone else and everything else. He is in fact growing up to be a super paranoid child who is full of all kinds of phobias that have been put into him by Vichittar and family.
As a result of this up bringing, Dabboo is scared of even the smallest of things and has become a completely frightened child who doesn^/t open his window because he is afraid that he might fall out of it, he doesn^/t eat ice creams as he is afraid that his teeth may fall out, he doesn^/t talk to anyone as he is afraid everybody is out to get him. He doesn^/t play or run around like other kids as he is afraid that he might break all his bones. He doesn^/t dare to disobey or disagree with anything that his uncle and aunt say for the fear that they may punish him.
Basically Dabboo is very low on self confidence and thus he is bullied in school and made a butt of several jokes and pranks by other children and even when he is the victim he promptly says - ^/I^/m sorry^/. Even the teachers think that he is a rather odd child. But Dabboo is just a very lonely child and the one thing he longs for is a friend.
There is some one else who is looking for a friend - and that is Niraj Kedarnath^/s ghost, i.e the Ghost of Ni.Ke Ni.Ke was 28 when he died - an over achiever, a highly envied, successful young man who won the tag of the youngest millionaire of the country at the age of 24. But his life came to an abrupt halt at the age of 28. And then he became a ghost, who decided to go and live in solitude in what used to be his favorite house on the outskirts of the city.
Today 8 years have passed since he died and no one can hear him or see him. Ni. Ke. is a very sad, depressed, lonely and forgetful ghost who doesn^/t know why he is stuck in this lifeless life and why no one can help him.
The Fateful Meeting
Both Dabboo^/s and Ni.Ke^/s life takes a fairy tale turn, when Vichittar Singh buys a new house and Dabboo shifts along with his family to this new house - the same house where the ghost of Ni.Ke lives. Dabboo enters the tiny store room which is to be his room. Unknowingly he throws the lemon kept on the top of a wooden cupboard and in the process releases Ni.Ke, who had been stuck in the cupboard for years.
Ni.Ke accidentally discovers that not only can Dabboo just hear him; he can also see him and Dabboo screams with fright! Ni Ke can^/t believe his luck! He wonders if the rest of the family can also hear him and see him but they can^/t. Dabboo is the chosen one and he is the ONLY ONE! Dabboo is petrified, Ni.Ke.- overjoyed! 8 long years and finally a listening ear! This makes Dabboo very special to Ni Ke but Dabboo is terrified of Ni.Ke.
After lots of convincing by Ni.Ke that he is harmless and very much in need of a friend, Dabboo calms down and identifies with Ni.Ke^/s need for a friend and tentatively shakes his ghostly hand.
And then starts the fun! The two become friends at first and then a team - both help each other to change their worlds. Bhoot Ni. Ke slowly helps Dabboo to break all his phobias and transform from a timid child to a confident boy to finally a hero of his school.
Dabboo is completely unmindful of the conspiracies being hatched against him by Vichittar Singh and his family and is delighted with his new life, but Ni.Ke manages to help Dabboo out of all the sticky plots hatched by his evil uncle and aunt.
This series which will be full of exciting and thrilling fast paced episodes and will use the astounding elements of computer graphics and special effects to the best of their potential, giving the story the most imaginative and powerful form of visual imagery. Ni ke will help Dabboo live out his Harry Potter fantasies and visually the viewers can expect quite a treat as that happens.
