The serial is based on a girl name Simran, who is an orphan and has been brought up by her chacha-chachi. Her chacha-chachi is everything for her and therefore, she believes that whatever they will choose for her will be the best. In the serial, she chooses to go for an arranged marriage, and gets married to Ruhaan, who belongs to one of the wealthiest family in the city.
As the story goes on, her husband tells her on the D-day that their wedding is a mistake. After hearing what her husband did not say, Simran gets stuck at a crossroad where she can’t go back to her house, nor can she move on with what Ruhaan said.
Later, Simran comes to know that her husband, Ruhaan was in love with someone else whom he believed was dead, but has now come to know that she is still alive. But as any tradition Indian girl would do, Simran decides to abide by her responsibilities as a wife, a daughter, a daughter in law of a prominent family. She decides to fight against the shadow from her husband's past and get her husband back.
