SATI is a young woman in black…black saris, black choli, black bangles, black bindi, black everything…the colour of mourning to fight the crimes against women, the injustice, the oppression, the suppression, the torture, the exploitation that women have to bear day in and day out at home, at work, on the road, wherever they happen to be.
SATI draws her strength from the black she covers herself with; to fight the darkness women have to face at every step.
SATI is married to law to fight the miscarriage of law.
‘SWAYAM’ is the name of the law firm that takes the cases of primarily women victims and fights for them. Not only the lawyers, even the drivers and peons in ‘SWAYAM’ are women and wear black. ‘SWAYAM’ is an all-women law firm but not a feminist law firm. They also fight for men if they happened to be victims of miscarriage of justice.
SATI is ‘Satya Ki Shakti’ and the cry of millions of Indian women in pain.
