Rano's father. He is the station master and had raised Rano on his own. He married Kamla so that Rano would receive a mother's love. Gurcharan has saved his land and money to give to Rano and plans on giving everything to Rano before Sukhi and Kamla get their hands on it.

Tina is the younger sister of Shanno who has come down from Canada to meet her. Tina is Ranbir's best friend who also, has fallen in love with him. She tries to support his with Rano. But due to circumstances, she agrees to marry Ranbir. But eventually she gets married to Vicky.
as: Kamla
Kamla is Gurucharan’s wife, 18 years younger to him. Uneducated and hot tempered, and is known for her nasty tongue & demeanor. Detests Rano as she holds her responsible for her own ill fate and treats her step daughter nothing more than a burden. Her age difference with her husband limits her from living her dreams. She is also known for flirting and enjoys getting carried away by younger men. Scheming and lies are an intrinsic part of her nature.
as: Preet
Preet is the eldest daughter of Maan family. She treats all her siblings like her own kids. Especially Ranbir and Guddo are apples of her eyes. She is somebody who is against the idea of Love so much so that she manipulates the lives of her siblings to keep them away from love.
as: Rano
Girl next door, disciplined & simple, Rano hardly speaks and prefers to keep a low profile. But her tone invariably carries a hint of anger due to her tormented past (Her step mother’s taunts). Doesn’t rebel, lives life the way it’s been given to her, and has silently reconciled to adverse circumstances. Loves her father and has hopes from no one else. Has grown to behave like an adult ever since her childhood and is a responsible daughter & sister.
as: Ranbir
Ranbir is the son of Karodimal, detached from the world of poverty and misery. Born with a silver spoon, follows what his heart tells, very instinctive, playful, mischievous but a very generous and good human being. Only stops to listen to his father, and also has his lovely Dadiji who dotes on him.
as: Karodimal Pahwa
Dignified & witty, the notorious, Karodimal, has an aura around him that creates both fear and awe in the family and office. Lives for money, well connected to the bigwigs of the city and politics. Smooth talker and a conspirator who can go up to insane extents to quench his greed that’s more and more money. People love him as much as they fear of him.
as: Guddo
Guddo is Ranbir's mentall challenged sister who behaves like a little child. She is very innocent and tends to believe people easily.
as: Fauji chacha
Fauji chacha is Gurcharan's friend and has helped hm raise Rano. He loves Rano immensly and sticks up for her when her happiness is concerned. He is one of the few people not afraid of Shah ji.
as: Vicky
Vicky is Ranbir's older brother and the second youngest out all his brothers (I think they are 4 brothers in total). He is hot tempered and does things without thinking. He is helping Sukhi with getting Gurcharan to sell the land. Also, he wants revenge from Nimmi for insulting him.
as: Sukhi
Rano's step-brother and Gurcharan's oldest son. He is basically just like his mom and is greedy. Currently he's trying to trick Guddo into falling in love with him so that he can get all her wealth. Also, him, mukhiya, Gullu and Vicky are trying to get Gurcharan to give up his land so that Sukhi can get money out of it.
as: Ranbir
new ranbir. Ranbir is the hero of this show and Rano's gardi wala who had saved Rano. He belongs to a rich family and is his dadi's favourite. He is a bit spoiled but good at heart. He meets Rano in the form of her student since he's failed a few times.
as: Nimmi
Nimmi is Rano's friend and sticks up for Rano when Kamla is being mean to her. She's not afraid to voice her opinions and had saved Rano from Vicky and constantly insults Vicky.
