Khelo Jeeto Jiyo is a unique game show where contestants comprising 3 family pairs compete to be the one deserving pair who can win a home and everything in it, by progressing room by room, through a gauntlet of entertaining rounds of games and activities that tests their compatibility, teamwork and lifestyle awareness to win a succession of household products right up to the Grand Prize of a home of their own.
The game plays out in a rollercoaster fashion where one of the three pairs qualifies through a buzzer round to play, picks a room, makes a shopping list, and vies for the requisite number of wins needed to move up in the game. There are tantalizing choices of winning everything in a room through challenging activities, but few second chances. If the playing pair squanders their chances, they stand to lose some or all of the things they have won, and are eliminated from the game. The remaining pairs play- off to decide who plays next. The new pair starts the game afresh. There is always a high level of energy and enthusiasm during the game-play as the three pairs play with passion to make their dream home a reality.
The set is divided into 4 furnished rooms out of which the contesting pair plays for products in minimum of 1 and maximum of 3 rooms. The pair has to answer a series of questions or perform time bound activities to progress through the game. After winning a certain number of products from the room /rooms, the pair is eligible to either attempt a clean sweep, win everything in the room and move on to the next, or leapfrog into The Vault where they play for the grand prize of a dream home.
Viewers are kept at the edge of their seats in this thrilling show where contesting pairs can be replaced and products lost at any stage of the game. The show brings out the chemistry, compatibility and competitiveness within the pairs and creates moments of joy, despair, passion and celebration as they inch towards their dream of a lifetime.
