The only child of Ketki and Advocate Mehta, Sejal is a naive, gullible collegian but fiercely dominating at the same time especially around Bittu. Her father fondly refers her equivalent to ten sons combined, she also acts as mediator between her parents as well as a translator for her father when her mother Ketki turns to her 'MaunVrat' form. She likes solving disputes around and gets restless every time some serious friction crops up in the society. Sejal is in love with her neighbor Bittu, whose parents are at loggerheads with her family.

Loves to indulge in gossiping, spying and creating minor problems between the two Mehta families. She doesn't want the problems between the Mehtas to resolve and enjoys watching squabbles in RB Society.

Daya's sister Vibha comes to RB Society from abroad, to live with her only family, her brother. Lost her parents at young age, Vibha considers Daya her guardian. Like Sejal, Vibha too is in love with Bittu. She hopes to gather courage to tell about her feelings for Bittu to Daya.
as: Ram Bharose
The show is introduced and narrated by late Ram Bharose. After his death, his Tabela (Buffalo Stable) was bulldozed and the land was sold to a builder by his son. Now the land is converted to Ram Bharose Co-operative Housing Society, a well known housing complex in the suburb of Mumbai. With each track of the show wrapping, We see Ram Bharose giving his vishesh tippani and opinions on the current condition of the place and the explored theme and issue of each passing track.

The archetypal Gujarati better known as advocate H.L Mehta hates his Punjabi neighbour who shares the same initials as his (H.L Mehta) and tries to outshine him & takes digs at every possible opportunity. Dotes on his family members. He has a tendency to take advantage of his lawyer status by threatening of 'suing' in some case or the other.
as: Bittu Mehta
Son of Rano and Doctor Mehta, Bittu gets smitten by every other pretty girl he sees. Bittu spends mosts of his time, wooing girls of RB society. He tries to come across strong and courageous but is wishy-washy from inside. He two-times both Sejal and Vibha but ends up failing miserably under pressure of handling both. He tries his best to steer clear out of danger of any sort but at the end of the day, has a good and caring heart. He supports Sejal in her problem solving missions. Bittu also fears, Vibha's inspector brother, Rokre. He has a soft corner for Sejal and hopes to settle down with her someday.
as: Rano Mehta
Wife of H.L Mehta, Rano is the typical loud Punjabi wife and mom. She can wrestle and beat up any number of well built men in a jiffy. One of her unique character traits, include, visualizing and dreaming the future scenarios. She likes to base her plan keeping those visualizations in mind.
as: Harbans Lal Mehta
Doctor by profession, this H.L Mehta shares the same sentiment regarding the other H.L Mehta (Advocate H.L Mehta). He doesn't let go of opportunities in putting him in soup and showing his absolute annoyance for the Gujrati Mehtas. He is known for charging extra cash from patients for medicines and injections but during difficult times, he doesn't hesitate to provide medical assistance to the neighbors and even Advocate Mehta when they require it.
